For US residents what travel documents required to enter Virgin Islands??

If you could, get your passport. That will be the easiest. If you don't have one, or can't get it in time, make sure you have a certified copy of your birth certificate & current photo id. Whoever your traveling though should be able to answer any questions or let you know the details of things needed for travel. Have fun down there, it's beautiful!

If you're going to the US Virgin Islands, you'll need a government-issued ID. I'm assuming you're a US citizen and not a permanent resident; the US VI is a US territory, so it's not considered international travel.

For British VI, you'll need a passport.

laura c
As a US citizen, all you need is a photo ID to enter or exit the US Virgin islands. The british virgin islands require a passport for entry and exit.

stella39
A valid photo ID (license) and you birth certificate with the raised seal.

No passport needed for USVI. British Virgin Islands if you fly, a passport is needed. If you go by water, no passport is needed yet. That will change in the future for the BVI.

enjoy)

To enter, none. To return to the US> different story. I think the Passport laws are going to be changing soon (I believe Jan 2009, but coulda been Jan 2008. Without one, you'll have a lot more difficulty getting back in after they change. Check into the exact date of this change, for peace of mind.
