La Neniita
I loved Cayo Coco, it is very nice there, the beaches are great, the hotels are beautiful and theres loads to do there. I went to the hotel Sol Cayo Coco, which was great, it had great nightly entertainment, but there are other awesome resorts there such as Tryp Cayo Coco and Sol Cayo Guillermo.

I've been to Cuba twice - first time was a resort called Balnerio del Sol outside of Santiago - there was no beach, but a coral reef - it was excellent - tonnes of water life. The second time I went to Varadero - it was different, there was a beach, but no water life - and a lot more touristy than before.

I went to Varadero Cuba, and I'm never going back. I spent two weeks there and I couldn't wait to leave. Everyone was begging for money, clothes, shoes. They have poor quality meats and fruits for food, and they really don't know how to cook - at all!

It was a cheap trip, but you get what you pay for.

The only thing I liked about the whole trip was the Mambo Club in Varadero - The music was awesome! I got the CD, so ...

Go to Punta Cana in Dominican Republic instead - stay at Barcelo - You will want to go back!

I have had two 14 day holidays in Cuba [from UK].
What is best for you depends on what you like, and you can't
be in two places at the same time.
Havana and main towns have plenty of interest, historical sites
eating places etc.
I spent two days at Cayo Santa Maria a purpose built holiday resort on the North coast this could be described as"heaven on earth",but not for historical interest. Take maps, guidebooks and everyday medicines.
It would be an advantage if you can dance "Salsa" Cuban style-
not "cross-body" or "New York" style.
You may find a two center holiday best for a first visit.
