San Juan has bad spots and good spots....Definately do one of the tours, if they have them on the boat....
I know some ships don't stay all day, like others, so it depends on how long you're staying there.... If you are 'adventurous' and have the time, go to 'El Yunque', the rainforrest. I've heard it's amazing, and I'm hoping to go there with my husband next year....
Visit 'El Morro' the fortress, for a nice historic view.... Can you belive it's been there for 500 years!
Good Luck, and enjoy 'my' island!

Believe Me As A Puertorrican Guy U WILL ENJOY The Island Its Way Beautifull Than The Whole Caribbean... Beaches Are Clean, No Rocks And Sun Its Delicious U Wont Regret It

Joe Jonas' Girl <3
yup wen i was a baby. im goin in a few weeks

Old San Juan is very interesting - lots of little shops and restaurants, etc. [If the "butterfly shop" is still there, it's beautiful!] You can walk from the pier up to El Morro, along the wall. [If you get a walking map of SJ, you'll see where to go.]

For lots of info on any cruise port and all aspects of cruising, go to CruiseCritic.com. Click on "Boards", then go to your favorite topic, e.g. "Ports of Call". SJ is an easy port to do on your own, unless you want to visit the rain forest. Just be sure you get back to the ship on time!

Have a great cruise!
