My family are from Barbados, it's one of the best countries in the world. Not only for the weather and beaches but the residents are very friendly. There is hardly any crime. (All the celebs visit)

Check out St Lawrence Gap (at night for night clubs, bars and restaurants), Miami and Folk stone beaches their great. Also there a party every Friday night at Fish Fry in Christchurch. Have Sunday lunch at Grand Barbados, lovely. The Island caters for tourists from all over the world, especially England and USA. There are English pubs and you can get roast dinners or try local dishes. Best time to go is anytime before August - rainy and hurricane season. (End November) Stay in the south or west of the island. East side is suitable for surfing - Altantic sea.

Hire a car to see the Island. They drive on the left but local roads are narrow. You can't get lost.

Have a great time.

Please check Barbados website. Every week the same questions appear. My likes might be different from yours. For instance--Sandy Lane might be my preferred hotel and yours might be Apartments on Accra Beach.
Barbados is very flat--very little change in vegetation--mostly coral limestome base. No forests, no waterfalls- if you are a person who enjoys cultural interaction--that might not be your first pick. Click on the Caribbean's websites and do your homework:
Check the websites of Dominica--lush with good diving.
St. Martin--reasonably priced restaurants--wine-shopping and nightlife. Antigua--historically and culturally rich--nicely laid out and convenient--many beaches--Anguilla--quiet.
A word of wisdom: when asking questions, state if you are traveling as a family, single person, if you like sport fishing, yacht racing--you need to do your homework otherwise people will say--Not Again and refuse to answer your questions.
Boaz.

Boaz.

no, never been there

Where am I?
It's a very nice island and very friendly people. Should try local food. fishcakes and fried flying fish, they gave to me constantly while visiting locals. The beaches are beautiful too, but especially for you white people get a very high sunscreen, I burned up extremely fast, even just out shopping.

They have sweet beaches, alot of cool bars, a huge flower garden, assume shopping and great seafood.

Enjoy your trip.
