Cuban plane is alright, don't expect alot. They have new planes but they still use old Russian airlplanes. Havana is great, alot to see and nice little China town, great seafood, Capitol, nice local ice-cream store. The list goes on and on...

I have been to Havana twice in the last 4 years. Its a wonderful city...some parts are beautiful...some parts are crumbleing old buildings. The architecture is great. It is a very interesting city with lots to see and do. There is so much history and art there. Parks, statues, museums, markets (very few actual "stores" to shop in.) Even the cemetary is something to see.
The people are nice, the music is great and then....there's the rum and cigars!! Going to Havana is like going back in time 50 years.

I was born there :)... A lot to see and enjoy. The best part is the center of the city b/c it has the old buildings and streets the spaniers built. There is also El Malecon, about 18km long: Best way to get a tan :P... The city is dirty, people pee on the conrners, leave trash outside, U get blackouts like every week... Be careful w the jineteras, all they want is your money. There is not much to do if you don't have money, and since most of the people don't have cars, transportation sucks... If you ever go don't expect much from the airline, they had me waiting 2hrs b4 I could FINALLY GET OUT!!

I did go to Havana in 2004 and I loved it. The city is beautifull and ugly in the same moment, but it has it's unique charm.

I did fly with Cubana airlines also, it's ok.

The national Cuban airline is called Cubana de Aviacion , planes are old , usually brought to Cuba from Russia ( formerly know then as Soviet Union) , they use Ills 62 and Antonov airplanes , and they also lease some Boeings to Canada and the Airbus form Taca ( a latinamerican airline)
Havana City is where I was born, nice people, but falling to pieces all over. The only places that are nice are the ones where tourist go...Old Havana , I do recomend it.
I lived there for 30 years till 2000. But it has not changed much since then.

my grandparents went like a few years ago..if you want me to ask them..you have to get like a travel agent to go to cuba..becuz they have only certain days..and i dont think the planes are that good...and they went to cienfuegos from were they orignially had lived

Preykill
ive been to Havana, Cuba, but i dont know what the cuban airline is like, didn't even knew they have their own airline. But, since the airline will only be for tourist & some bussinessmen, the quality is going to be fine! don't worry about it: Cuba is not wanting to lose a paying tourist!
