I went there in January of 1999, I loved it there and I would suggest that you go to the rain forest there. It was beautiful! I enjoyed walking through the rain forest and that is one place that I would highly recommend. Also for some history I would go to El Morro. There is a lot of history and very neat things to see there. Old San Juan is also beautiful to see as well. Hope you have fun! |

When my wife and I went we stayed at the Condado Plaza Hotel.
It was very nice and they have 3 pools and a beach on the ocean.
it has a swim up bar that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food.
It is very teen friendly and adult friendly as well.
There were very good restaurants within walking distance and it is a short taxi ride form Old San Juan.
Tip the clerk at check-in for an ocean-view room or reserve one. It's worth it!
The only thing I would be a little careful with is where you walk to at night.
My wife and I walked all over without issue but the concierge said that there may be some bad elements out I certain locations.
I didn't see anybody that looked like trouble.
It is a great place to visit and I will definitely go again.
Great food, great weather, great people and a great hotel.

We owned a home there. Go to the rain forest and the Camuy Caverns
Also the lil island of vieques...and of course old san juan. I love the people very friendly. The old heads don't like people speaking english so learn a few words for them |

I've been there. Spent a fair amount of time there. I loved the coastal regions, the way they looked, especially the really small communities. I disliked the more developed areas and the attitudes of the people there.
But to be fair, I dislike the attitudes of most people in most developed areas in most of the world |

You will like to go to El morro it is in Old San Juan, it is known to save Puerto Rico from the war.... The rainforest El Yunque... La Guancha a harbour the lighthouse lots of kid parks and a nearby beach you'll love it there it is in Ponce... those are some places that will be great to visit |
