Went to Couples Resort. It's about an hour's drive from Montego Bay. It was beautiful. Had everything there from the usual fishing, swimming, snorkeling, to golf and horseback riding. Weather was gorgeous. Beach was just to die for. Hey, if you're into this kind of thing, they even had an island a short boat ride away where you could go totally nude. Hey, be ready to get your hair braided! OMG, the food!! Never ate better in my life.
One thing though, they advise against you leaving the resort alone. They want you to do shopping trips or whatever with one of their prearranged groups. Natives can be very, very -- let's say pushy. They're biggest thing is selling drugs -- any kind you want. And their next biggest thing is having you busted after wards for possession. I guess they have some scam worked out with local law on splitting fines, etc., on top of profiting from their drug sale. Was warned about that on the plane prior to landing. But you know, I would love to go back again!! |

Yes! I went to Ocho Rios a few years ago. I would go back there in a heartbeat. The locals were friendly, the resort was amazing, and Jamaica is just breathtaking. |

Negril Beach.Stayed at West Lea Cabins for 26 Can a night at the start of Nov..Everybody who stayed there got a dog to escort them up and down the beach.When your dog got to the end of his turf,another dog would come out to escort you through his and so on.
Seven miles of beach,friendly people,but be careful what you ask for,you will probably get it.
See if you can get up to the "blue holes". |

I've been to Ocho Rios twice, its pretty nice and tropical, just be careful not to wander out alone. a popular activity to do in ocho rios is climb the Dunn's river fall. I hear the rocks are pretty slippery, so watch out. |
