LOVE IT!
Jamaica is a beautiful tropical island with friendly and welcoming people, great food and lots of fun activities.
I have vacationed there every year since 2000 and I just can't wait for 2007 vacation to come around!
Just went there in July and had the best trip ever. We climbed the Blue Mountain peak, spent a night at Whitfield Hall (about a third up the mountain), went to the hot springs at the Mineral Bath in St. Thomas. We swam with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios and spent a few nights at FDR Pebbles resort in Trelawny.
It was a great trip and there are so much fun activities there. There is the famed Dunns River waterfalls in Ocho Rios, bamboo rafting on the Martha Brae in Trelawny, the old fort in Port Royal, Hellshire beach where you can get some good home-style Jamaican food.
My favorite spot is Point Village resort in Negril. Its a beautiful resort with a great sunset view and the staff is ever so friendly and accomodating.
I have also stayed at the holiday Inn in MOBAY where there are tons of daily activities and it is central to most of the attractions in MOBAY area.
Check it out you will have a great time! |

Been twice. First time to Hedonism (naughty) and second time to Montego Bay (nice). It's a beautiful place to visit, especially in Ocho Rios with the waterfalls. I drove through non resort areas, such as Kingston, and that can be a bit dangerous. The drive to Negril from Montego Bay was beautiful, but a little depressing, because you can see there are people living there in abject poverty. The resorts are gorgeous. And Rick's Cafe at sunset you can dive off a cliff. That's breathtaking. Overall, I would go again, but I like to experience different places. |

I've been to Jamaica twice and loved it. If I could go back i'd still go twice per year. The people of Jamaica are very hospitible and treat visitors right. The sunsets are amazing they drop so fast you can literally see the sun going below the horizon. I'd highly recommend visiting Negril if you have to choose one part of Jamaica While we prefer Negril if you do visit Ocho Rios hit Dunn's River Falls it's a great time climbing the falls. |

I just came back from 5 days of chilling in MoBay. There's not much to do but if you are into relaxing next to the pool or on the prettiest beach you have ever seen (Doctor's Cave)....then Jamaica is the place for you. |

I spent two weeks at Grand Lido Bracho last December. The weather was wonderful, the resort great and service was excellent. It is an all-inclusive resort, including tips. |

I've been to Jamaica twice. I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to go back next year.
The first time I went we stayed in Montego Bay. The second time was in Negril. I prefer Negril over Montego Bay. They have a nicer beach, where the sand is so fine that it is impossible to pick up a single grain. The water is very clear, where it tended to be cloudy in Montego Bay. Plus, Negril is actually famous for their 7 mile beach.
We stayed at the RIU Negril, club hotel. It is an all-inclusive place with 5 restaurants, 6 bars (including one on the beach), a disco, and nightly entertainment. The rooms are nice as well as clean. We ask to be upgraded from a garden view room to an ocean view, and they did it right away, at no extra cost.
The food is excellent by the way. There are also 2 pools, for those who don't care for the ocean, and one of them has a swim up bar.
We took the Sunset Cruise which was fantastic, and we also did the snorkeling trip, which was really a lot of fun. There is reggae exercise on the beach and in the pool every day.
One of the nights we were there, they had an evening party on the beach, and the entertainment was a fire eater.
I highly recommend Jamaica to anyone who loves beautiful beaches, great food, and gentle people.
Just remember if you go to treat these people with as much respect as you like to be treated with.
Enjoy. |

I have been to Jamaica and absolutely loved it. I sayed in Ocho Rios, and took day tours to some of the other parts of the island. It is so relaxing, peaceful, and of course the music is constantly pumping and pulsing through the island day and night. The Dunn's river Falls are so awesome...You have a guide that takes you up and they are huge (You have probably seen them in movies before). You can sit under them in certain parts. Lots to do and see and the food is incredible! |
