Yes I've been to Cuba and I absolutely LOVE it! And I keep going back again and again (and will keep doing so). I've stayed in Camaguey, Santa Lucia, Cayo Coco. The whole island is beautiful and each part of the island has something different to offer. The culture and history just absorbs you.
My favourite place is Cayo Coco (Tryp Cayo Coco...awesome resort...the people who work there are great and so much fun....made many friends there and they never forget you, even if it's been a long time since you'd been able to go back!)
Cayo Coco's beaches are breathtaking! The powdery white sand, clear turquoise waters are absolutely amazing. I recommend to anyone to definitely try Cayo Coco (especially Tryp Cayo Coco resort) if they haven't yet. They would have such a fun and exciting time. There is so much to do there yet at the same time it's very easy to relax. It's a little ways out from the mainland (about a 45 minutes drive into Morón, the main city), but definitely no hardship to do.
But when in Cuba, do your best wherever you stay to visit Havana...whether it's a day trip or overnight.
I'm not sure if you haven't been and are wondering where to go, but check out the links below to see the different places. I'll include links that are also of different areas of Cuba and see what interests you.
Cuba is wonderful, but the Cubans are wonderful people...very warm, kind and hospitable. You will just keep going back over and over.

It's been my good fortune to have made nine visits to Cuba, three to Varadero, four to Holguin, one each to Cayo Coco and Trinidad. Not only is the country beautiful so are the people who will go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful time. Chances are ,if you go once, you will return again and again. Two years ago I met a couple at Sol Rio Luna y Mares who were on their 35th visit to Cuba.
