i've been to Barbados,13yrs ago though, i was 14 at the time,i didnt like it ,neither did my family,it was quite expensive and the part we went, there wasnt anything to do,we hired a car in the day to get out more, but didnt dare to travel at night, because of the stories we were told by the locals,we had to stay at the resort at night, which had an outside bar right by the sea,if you walked too far along the beach(past a fallen down tree) apparantly you would be asked for money if you didnt give it to them you would be mugged.on the first night my mum was asked if she wanted to by some hash(cannabis) and the bloke wouldnt leave us alone all night, that was scary, also in bed one night a flying cockroach was flying around the room,i put the covers over my head, and it landed on my head fluttering its wings,i didnt know they existed until the rep told us what it was the next day.maybe were in a rough part, but i'd never go back, that was my mums dream holiday, and she hated it. i'd go cyprus anytime, lovely place, lovely people.

I've been To Trinidad and Tobago as well as Barbados.
I think Trinidad is a lot of fun, but I have to admit that I am biased.
Anyway, unfortunately the crime rate in many Caribbean islands is a little bad these days so if you do go please be careful and stay safe.

Good luck!

I think all the Caribbean Islands are great.
They are all different & same in escence at the same time.
Montserrat * Puerto Rico * St Barts * St Kitts & Nevis
St Lucia * St Maarten * St Martin * St Vincent
Trinidad & Tobago * Turks & Caicos
US Virgin Islands * St Thomas / St Croix / St John
Jamaica * Turks & Caicos * Curacao
Barbados * Bermuda * Tortola * Guadaloupe * Martinique
*** All of them are so good. My favorites are:
Puerto Rico, Martinique, US V I, Curacao & Jamaica
my favorite thing to do is going to Puerto Rico and not the San Juan area, go to the West & South West areas that's were the great beaches are. Rincon, Cabo Rojo, Guanica, Aguadilla, great surfing & local charming, great food & a nice palce to hang out & relax. Also try to go to the center of the island, Maricao, Las Marias, Jayuya great tropical forests, rivers natural trails, georgeous. Also if you are int he east coast go to Vieques or Culebras those are town islands that are part of Puerto Rico as well, fun as hell a day trip is the bomb. If I don't do PR I go to the US Virgin Islands or Tortola is great as well. Jamaica & Martinique or Mozambique are charming great party chill out completely laid back atmosphere, secluded beaches & great drinks & food.

I ve been to the Bahamas and I loved it. I m hopefully going again this year. U can swim with Dolphins and stingrays(the stingers have been removed!) The Atlantis hotel on Paradise island is fab, loads of pools and slides, its own beaches and the biggest aquarium in the world. Good food, smiley people, what more can I say? Bon voyage!

Ive been to Bermuda, St Thomas, Puerto Rico, Guyana and Grand Turk. Bermuda has some nice beaches and St. Thomas has liquor for chaep. But Puerto Rico was the most fun, went to the wine stiller and learned how they make Bacardi.

I've been to Trinidad & Tobago (the Trinidad part) & Barbados. It is fun! My sister has been to Jamaica, and she said it was okay, but she had the cheapest fare available due to her friend working as a travel agent.

Barbados has a lot to offer. Port-of-Spain in Trinidad was interesting, too.

yes it is unbelievable to leave your life behind.however the best island by far is aruba.it never rains and is 85 degrees year round.it is below the hurricane belt so you can go whenever.there is virtually no poverty so no safety worries.it is not third world.
