i'm a born and proud Trinidadian. i'm not saying this because i'm from there, but my country is a very nice place to live the weather, the FOOD, the people, the night life, the music, the holidays, and carnival. we have many actors, actress and many framous people visit that keeps coming every year for carnival. the people are very welcoming and helpfull who live their. anyone will lend a helping hand and so forth. i have moved to new york and life can't compare to anything back home. everyone that i meet here is for themselves they help no one, and someone who is a citizens told me i will learn the hard way. i didn't know they call us christmas island here in New York until a couple people told me so. christmas is the best of the best. but Trinidad and Tobago is a very nice place to live if don't know about carnival, visit about the January to march time and you will be sure to know. and it is a tropical island, a twin island. when you get to trinidad, you can take a boat or plain to Tobago. make sure and visit, tobago its so beautiful. trust me

I've been there and I love it. But the crime rate is a bit scary though...a lot of my relatives live there and one of them was kidnapped early last year. Fortunatly they just cleared out his bank account and released him after 4 days, with a threat that he better not tell the police or else they will kill him... but his bro told the police and those guys are on trial, I don't know if the trial is over yet, I havent asked, but anyway..Before that happened I always thought my mom was exaggerating about the Trini crime rate but now I know its kinda true. But all things aside, I think Trinidad is a nice place. I really enjoy myself when I'm there. And at least the police do thier jobs well...the food is great too. But you can get that same food on the other islands without the crime but say what...
N.B- I'm not saying you shouldn't visit Trinidad I'm just letting you know the vibe, but trini is a very nice place. I highly reccomend it as a place for a vacation, but be careful. That's all I'm saying.
