Hi, I want to know the worst paces to go in puerto rico such as the ghettos or a place you could get killed, beat up, or a place where drugs are sold and gangs go ... I need this for a project please help me out and give me some places that are really really bad ... thank you a lot! |

In San Juan there is a really bad neighborhood called 'La Perla' you may have heard Calle 13 talking about it.
Also there is a huge projects called Llorens Torres that is really bad. This is the largest housing projects in the whole caribbean. They even have their own schools, stores & police station.
Every town in PR has bad sections & good sections. However, alot of bad sections are in the projects. Here is some info on it, but do not let this scare you b/c PR otherwise is a gorgeous island & the richest in the caribbean. |

First Puerto Rico is a gorgeous island and I love it here. I'm so proud of my culture. But Ihave to tell you that Puerto Rico does have bad areas, and I advise tourists to stay out. Thers La Perla- lots of blooshed, drugs, ganga and killing. Until I was about 13, I was never allowed to go to La Perla, but now that Im 18, i have alot of good friends and I visit them so Im allowed to go but, my mom is still worried when I go. I advise you to not visit these places. The girl with the articles had the best answer. If you listen to Calle 13, who is a rising star in Reggaeton(I'm a huge fan), you'll hear him talking of La Perla. Its been called the most picturesque slum in the world and tourists, I would advise to not wander into La Perla at all.
A really bad area is Luis LLorens Torres in San Juan. Lots and lots of drugs. Ramos Antonini, Manuel a Perez and Selles in Rio Piedras Barrio La Playita in San Juan are a couple other too. Dont get me wrong, I love Puerto Rico, but if your gonna visit, dont go to these places. |

Some places called "caserĂos or barriadas" the first ones are public residencies, that you should be carefull around it. There are good and bad places everywhere in or out PR. The most known are "Residencial Llorens Torres", Barriada La Perla in Old San Juan, Residencial Covadonga, Barriada Vietnam. But also there are good persons too. |

here in puerto rico "caserios or barriadas" there are public residences there live the ghettos and all of this things. one of the worst caserio was Luis Llorens torres en isla verde. but every town has a caserio and every town have a bad section. |

Ghettos perse there's NONE...Public Housing is ussually a bad area.
The Worst Area in Puerto Rico like any other Big City are:
Luis LLorens Torres in San Juan
Ramos Antonini, Manuel a Perez and Selles in Rio Piedras.
La Perla in Old San Juan
Barrio La Playita in San Juan also.
Bayamon has it's share of Bad areas |
