Help ! the homosexual agenda is taking over, now they want us to legalize it in the Caribbean too ? |
All this time, I've been on this site talking my smack, I never once dreamt that this issue, I thought that would remain in the bigger countries, would trickle down to my little island.
But it is now. It started with a conference in Jamiaca, and now even our own Health Minister is suggesting that we lift all legal bans on homosexuality.
Will these perverse people stop at nothing ?!
Why are our political leaders succumbing to these pressures ? !
The argument , is the same usual AIDS argument.
That when we remove legal barriers, they will com forward for testing.
Well then, why don't we just go ahead and legalize prostitution too.
Though, I agree that we have to find ways to make these people come forward to be tested, I don't think the complete legal condolence of such behaviour is necessary.
After all, that is like saying that we must legalize marijuana, so that marijuana smokers ( who play sport )will come forward for drug testing.
This is madness. Additional Details I'm NOT jamaican !
Didn't you read the question !?
All I said was that this proposition started, in a meeting in Jamaica. How it has trickled down to all the other islands..
sheeesh! |

I actually agree with you. I have nothing against homosexuals, I just dont think they should legalize gay marriage. Let them live in peace & have partner rights, but dont allow them to be married because the bible clearly states that marriage is between a man & a woman & a pastor marries you to make it holy.
As far as AIDS, that isnt much of an argument because its not only in the gay community. |

The UK saw to it that the British Overseas Territories had to get rid of the laws banning homosexuality some seven years ago. http://www.globalgayz.com/caribbean-news.html#article1 The Cayman Islands held out for a long time against gay cruise ships, but eventually money talked and they accepted their presence. Ironically it is the foreigners in such islands who are made to submit to routine blood tests (a money making scheme), while local people avoid coming forward. I suspect that in Jamaica too money is at the bottom of this apparent change of heart. |

And what does your diatribe have to do with travel...?
If you think homosexual activity is wrong, then don't engage in it. Otherwise, it's none of your business. |

you're worried about spread of AIDS, and you believe it is spread by Homosexuality (which is true, as it is spread by any penetrative sexual contact between any 2 people, providing one has AIDS)
But all kinds of sex are equally likely to cause AIDS to spread. It really all comes down to wearing a condom, regardless of you're sexual preferences |

What do you care what they do behing closed doors? They will be doing it anyway?
Granted there is an "unnatural" characteristic to it - anything that does not create reproduction of the species is "inferior" from a biological/scientific standpoint... but so what?
If they are living a life that does lead to the spread of disease, etc. (e.g. lots of partners, etc.) then this is a problem, but otherwise live and let live.
I disagree with the desire sometimes to push their sexuality in everyones' faces, but most homosexual people are not like that, Ive found.
Again, if they are not doing something troublesome or problematic, why care? Im stratight, and most everyone I know is straight, and there are plenty of straight folks doing horrible things too...

Why do you insist on treating homosexuals as though they're not
human?
They want the same happiness and civil rights just as you do.
thats it, thats all. period. |

How is making homosexuality legal going to affect you?
Jamaica is known as the most homophobic place on earth. Your history of gay bashing and murder is appalling. |
