A great place to take kids is Curacao. It's fun, lots of beaches, each being differeny from the previous, history, and adventure for all ages. Kids will be delighted with the Ostrichfarm, Sea Aquarium, Christoffel Park, Macros Fish farm Hato Caves and also the Parke Shete Boka. There are plenty of hotels and resorts to chose from, however for kids, the Curacao Breezes Resort would be the best option.
Don't forget to try out some local food allong the way.

Bahamas is a good option...though not exactly in the Caribbean.

St Kitts is an excellent family destination in the Caribbeans. A bit pricey though.

Check out Dreams Resort in Cancun. They have a kid's explorer club, 2 beaches, a dolphin aquarium coming in the next two weeks, lots of activities for your 9 and 12 year old. 24/7 room service. This resort is all-inclusive. Good for families with children.

here is a site to check out
