You need to make sure you have enough money with you for tips (about $1CUC/meal, for the room attendant), excursions, souvenirs, and if you plan on eating in the city. If I remember correctly, you're going to Varadero, right? There are a lot of things to do in Varadero. Some day trips/excursions can cost anywhere from $20-120+...

Cuba has excellent taxi services as well as car, van and motorcycle rentals. Tour buses in Havana and Varadero cover the major sites of interest. It can cost up to $10 to travel to Havana...less in Varadero.

Temperature is on average about 25 C...it can be a little cooler at night...less humid in December and is the dry season.

CAD are best to exchange to CUC...always make sure you get a receipt after each exchange. If you need to take a credit card with you, make sure it's not a US-based card. You can use your credit card for certain purchases (such as excursions) and cash advances if necessary.

hey! Cuba is an amazing country filled with wonderful people and ancient looking houses that are gorgeous.... Many Cubans hate Americans and hate "Dollars".... there is some sort of tax for every dollar u exchange... you can go to night clubs and go to the country side and just enjoy nature... to be honest with u Cuba isnt doing that great now... people have nothing to eat because supermarkets are out of everything.... u can get cigs and drinks cuz there is no certain age crap like here in the US...

Things over there are bad for the Cuban citizen, but that is not your question. For the tourists they are wonderful

Things are verrryyy cheap, a simple tip can get you anything. once tipped a guy 3 U.S dollars and he took a cartfull of grocerys up 5 flights of stairs. weather is usually tropical. taxi's are called bicitaxi. because someone on a bike drives you around while you sit on a carriage type of cart. normal life is chillin with a beer and a fresh hand rolled cig. food well cuban food lol, steak rice beans etc. aside from beach you can do other things but remember its cuba very deprived of many things so it might not be what you are used to, very poor and be careful of what you say. if you go to the capitol you might find a number of prostitutes.

mainly it all depends on where you go to. varadero is the best beach in my opinion.

i thought it was illegal to go to Cuba. Thats what i heard.
