well, i live in st andrew, if u wanna live there its 15-20 minutes from kingston and they have some beautiful houses. the most popular residences are, Havendale, Norbrook, Norbrook Heights, Stony hill, Beverly Hills (yes we have one), Upper Constant Spring. All these places have nice houses and beatiful landscape, it is very safe, i have lived in Norbrook and it is very quiet and peaceful, and many ditinguished jamaicans live there. Besides kingston, i would say u can live in black river which is in st elizabeth, or mandeville, or i would say st thomas as well. Spanish town in St Catherine is not bad either.

look into Manchester, Mandeville or St.Thomas from what i have been told they are very nice places.. I have many many close friends that live down there, including my son's father, he is in Clarendon. It would be good for you if you knew someone prior to going down.. someone that actually lives there.. from what my friends have told me I would keep away from Kingston area and i hear Montego Bay can be a little rough these days as well.. but people are very friendly.. I live in Canada and right now i have a heap of friends workin up here from down there, if ya have any more questions maybe i can find out for ya through them.. or ya know, you can take me with ya lol.. am so jealous!!! lol.. i hope you have a great time.. take care.

I am from Kingston but Negril is the place to be everything about it is wonderful the beaches the people the clean air, the parties, the food from Sweet Spice, Rick's Cafe.

I would say try Mandevile, it's not really a Tourist resort Area but it's residential and safe.
You wont be charged overly every time you want to buy something because your not Jamaican.
It's also one of the coolest places in Jamaica meaning weather Conditions.

Id say mandiville i have a house there and my grandmother has lived there for 13 years its real safe....but be prepared to pay big bucks for houses there.

Hi You may Spend a few days or weeks in Port Antonio Jamaica,Stay at a guesthouse named Holiday Home,ask for Nadine,and she will refer you to a real estate person who will show you around to places you may want to rent or buy.

try St. thomas, but no farther than East prospect, its close to the capital of the parish and an hour and a half's drive out side of kingston, which is very convenint if you plan to work there. Plus St.thomas isn't a tourist prone area so there will be no inflated prices on goods.

the best part to go to is the place where you can smoke all day without the cops harassing you.you can roll it,light it,and smoke it up.

I cant understand why someone with your medical situation living in the same climate as Jamaica and so near to Jamaica would want to move to there permanently. The only place with lots of hospital and medical centre options available 24-7 is in Kingston. Look no further, as you have to make your health a priority.

You are young also, so Kingston will be where it is at for ALL types of activities AND if you are going to get a permanent job. Please make sure that all your docs are in order, work permit and all.

Any were you go in Jamaica be prepared to put up with the heat I go to 8 Rios and the heat is real bad
