The drinking age is technically 18 but from websites i've looked at said that doesnt really matter

The drinking as underage is at the discretion of the bar tender at the resort (to be honest with you most likely they will serve it to you), or any place you go. A good thing is Dominicans are well known for treating tourist like family and if it takes to serve you a few drinks to make you feel comfortable we will do so. Have a nice and safe trip! |

No. You can't.
You're 15.. it's illegal for you to drink in DR.. even Punta Cana.
Hotels are cracking down since parents (who pay for rooms) complained that their kids were getting tanked.
Most hotels will make you wear colored bracelets - adults and children have different colors based on their passports. |

If you have identification that says you are of legal age to consume alcohol there, then yes, they will let you drink all you want.
It doesn't matter how old you look.

Yeah, they will. They won't if you tell them your age, but they don't bother to ask. I just got back from Punta Cana yesterday, and they were going to give me alcohol a bunch of times(on the plane too) until some one just *had* to tell them i was 12. |
