You don't like the idea of Caribbean?
Interesting..
I won't say anything mean to that...
Go to Costa Maya or Cancun in Mexico |

Your best bet is to visit a travel agents, tell them what you want and let them do all the work. And Mexico doesn't have to be out of your price range. |

Perhaps Costa Rica would suit you, It is an amazingly varied country and you wouldn't be bored. The famous local expression is "pura vida!" (pure life!), which is a change from the usual Caribbean slogans such as "deeply relaxing" and "beautiful by nature".

Take a look at the Iberostar Tucan or Quetzal in Mexico Playa Car 5* hotel stunning. It and hotel with 15 block top floor only 3 stories up. Set in the jungle, with animals roaming around, freely. Two of the blocks do have sea views but don’t worry if you can’t get a sea view it is pretty just where ever you are.
Playa car is a good area as it is quiet enough for you to have time for yourselves but with a 10 minute walk into the centre Playa Del Carmen. There are great hotels out in Playa Car all 5* hotels. Cancun is a 2 hour bus ride away but there are trips you can do. |

My daughter got married on 7th March, on St. Thomas USVI in the Caribbean and we certainly weren't restricted. We rented a villa (6 of us) on the far side of the island and caught the bus into the Capital.
Went across to the island of St. John (lots of crystal clear water and snorkelling there).
Caught taxis all over the island and to different beaches.
Fabulous holiday - just right temperature-wise in March.
Daughter and new husband spent a few days alone, together, on yet another island.
She reckons that she's the only person she knows her took her parents and future in-laws with her on honeymoon! |

NOT ALL PLACES IN THE CARIBBEAN IS RESTRICTED TO A RESORT AND WHY WOULD YOU POST IN THE CARIBBEAN SECTION? YOU DON'T SAY HOW LONG YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO FOR. |

I think Antigua would be great. You should google or yahoo all inclusive resorts that provide food, activities and everything for one price. So check ANTIGUA out i think 2000 pounds is nearly 5000 EC dollars so you have quite a lot of money there. lol |

With the pound dropping, its going to be harder in US $ denominated locations.
Caribbean islands aren't just resorts - at least not the bigger ones like Cuba. |
