You are British, so you don't need a visa. You just need a passport and once arrived on Dominican soil (airport) you pay 10 USDollars this is your visa/fee. At the departure you pay 20 us Dollars and that is all there is to do. For the rest of your time, you can redraw money from the cashier (wall) so you don't lose 2x on exchange rates.
(Don't tell your folks are useless it is not nice).
I Hope you will enjoy your stay!

When you get to the airport at the otherside (Dominican airport) you will fill out forms on the plane (the hostesses will give them to everyone)...fill them in.. keep them with u........take them into airport when you get off the plane - pay 10 US dollars (it has to be in dollars..dont think you will get away with paying the equivalent in english pounds or whatever)..........then save youre return forms and when you leave DR give them the forms + pay 20 US dollars.......once again making sure it is US dollars.

Hope this helps!

Why is it you people NEVER SAY WHAT YOUR NATIONALITY IS?... and that is the ONE thing we need to know.

If your country is part of the Visa Waiver program, then you DON'T NEED to get a visa in advance.. you just get off the airplane and go through customs and immigration and they will STAMP THE VISA on your passport... right there in the space marked VISAS.

If you are american you don't need a visa you just have to buy a 30-day tourist card issued upon arrival for US$10 or go to your travel agency and buy it there

DaySaver
(You said holiday rather than vacation so you're from the UK - probably).

Entry requirements for UK citizens can be found at

You don't need visa, only a valid passport at least for 6 months, at the airport you have to buy a tourist card, the cost is US$10 and is valid for 30 days. Have Fun!!
