I'm going there in July and I want to know what there is to do there, and what kind of places you recommend. It's my first time going to Jamaica and im SUPER excited, except I'm not so ...
Also wondering if anyone has stayed at the Sandal's resort there? I love to snorkle...how is the snorkling there? We are going in June, how is the weather?...
we have been on carnival and were debating on royal carribean this time, any suggestions would be great. we are traveling with two teenagers and a three year ...
Just pack your booze poored into a mouthwash container in your suitcase, wrapped in clothes. Don't try to carry it on board, they will take it. As well you can buy a bottle of booze in port and the pour it in a sport bottle or even an empty water bottle before you get back on the ship. Any other bottle would do the trick. Trust in this...I work on cruise ships. I give this advice all the time.
Hope you have a great time!
P.S. ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT POINT! CROSS PACK WITH THE PERSON YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH. IN CASE ONE OF YOUR SUIT CASES IS LOST YOU STILL HAVE HALF YOUR CLOTHES FOR THE TRIP! SPLIT ALL YOUR CLOTHES EVENLY DOWN TO UNDERWEAR, SHOES AND FORMAL CLOTHES.

You should check the customs policies of the country you are going to. For example, you can legally pack 2 liters of alcohol in your luggage for your own personal consumption without having to declare it to the custom agents.
Depending on where you're going it might be perfectly fine to smuggle booze (that's assuming you're not a minor).
As for the ease, it's pretty easy. But anything that's contraband always runs the risk of being found.

some people do it but that is on cruise ships in water bottles. I have no idea about planes wouldn't risk smuggling ANYTHING on a plane! How old are you anyway?

They scan all bags. If you're caught with alcohol you didn't claim, you are in huge trouble, dude. In a water bottle, they wouldn't be able to tell - of course not until they smell it on board. I'm not sure anyone would say anything around you, but the attendants know that it's illegal to have any alcoholic beverages on board that an attendant didn't give you.

So long as you're of legal age ... it's not difficult.
My husband and I brought some of our own spirits on a cruise ship and were never questioned. Athough, security did get all out of sorts by my little swiss army knife. It was confiscated.
What you have to be careful of is disembarking. That's when they get very particular about what you claim and what you don't.
Enjoy your cruise.
