That depends largely on where you are....

New York, NY - 1,160 Miles
Chicago, IL - 1,408 Miles
Los Angeles, CA - 2,638 Miles
Dallas, TX - 1,409 Miles
Orlando, FL - 467 Miles

Other Cities:
Paris, France - 4468 Miles / 7,188 Km
Tokyo, Japan - 7710 Miles / 12,409 Km
Sydney Australia - 9527 Miles / 15,330 Km
Lima, Peru - 2,472 Miles / 3,979 Km

It could also vary as much as 267 Miles closer than these measures because I used the point on Google Earth for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to get the measure, but that point is kind of in the middle of the islands.
