Technically, it is 90 miles from the tip of Key West, Florida to Cuba. That's if you calculate going in a straight line right across.
But the real distance from Havana to Miami is 367 kilometers or 228 miles, or 198 nautical miles.
The distance is the theoretical air distance (great circle distance). Flying between the two locations' airports can be longer or shorter, depending on airport location and actual route chosen.
