It is cooler than many other Caribbean islands due to the northeast trade winds, heavy precipitation, and altitude of most of the island. The trade winds also bring in showers from the Atlantic and make the northern coast of Puerto Rico wetter than the south.

The only real variations in weather can be found in the mountain regions, where the temperature fluctuates between 66 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit (19 – 24 degrees Celsius), and on the north coast, where the temperature ranges from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (21 – 27 degrees Celsius). There is no significant difference between the wet or dry season, but August is the wettest month.

Average in July is 88 F

Awesome!

Sunny, hot and humid! Don't overpack, you won't need anything in the day except bathing suits.

Enjoy!

It's warm over here all year round and usually in July you can expect temperatures to range:

day from 85 - low 90's
night from 73 - 80

rain 0.01 inches to 2 inches per day. But remember when it rains here it can be a heavy down pour that lasts a short time and then the sun is back out again

check out this website to see the actual temperatires for July 2006

It depends wherre in PR you are. The coastal areas are going to be hot and humid...very hot and humid! The north coast is the best with the eastern coast geting the worst humidity. If you go to the central highlands or travel the ruta panoramica, rout 143, you will experience much cooler and drier temperatures that in my opinion are the best in the caribbean. My advise, stay off the beach, head for the highlands. If you must be on the beach, check out Vega Baja on the north coast (west of San Juan on rt 22) or go to Santa Isabell in the south.

Im in arecibo on the north part of PR and it gets HOT HOT HOT alot of water, shorts i would go naked if i could and with all the global warming last year was crazy this year i cant even imagine. Its great to go to the beach i go after 3pm

July is a very cool month. It's practically summer. You can still go to great beaches and enjoy wearing your shorts and tank tops.
