My Mother has 10 siblings and my Father has 14 siblings. Back then the cost of living wasn't high.

These days If you have more than four kids - that would be considered large family and then grandma and tantie living there too!!!!

In any generation the cost of living high. So that is not a reason. Go ask mami or daddy how much they usta make and you would see cost of living have nothing to do with ah big family.

The reason is they had no dam TV or Internet back then to keep they @$$ busy.

3 or more is a big family.

If you are doing a lil store work and have any more that 2 children and no father around......large family.
If you are more stable and you and your husband have good jobs, own your home, about 3-4, is a large family.

LOL.Yuh right Curious. My aunt have five girls(ages 25-9) plus my uncle(her husband) and my Grandmother is there not to mention when family come to visit is there they staying. All of that with three bedrooms. So yes I would say that is considered a large family. Any time you have to add more rooms to your home (which they are currently doing) you know you have a large family.

Just having three children seem to be expensive these days.........

Back in the day, large meant like 9-13 children. But a normal sized family now is 2-3 kids.

Any more than 2, maybe 3 if its an accidental pregnancy but after the delivery surely do a tubal ligation
