Truly it doesn't matter the difference between Jamaican dollars & any other currency. Things in JA cost as much, if not MORE than in other countries, so having thousands in JA money means you have just enough for what you need...
A typical washing machine in the states might be $250-$300, but in JA it costs $500 ! Don't get caught up in the dollar amounts you carry, its more important what things COST.
