Although the money exchange is significant between JA and US dollars, the US dollar is worth significantly more than the Jamaican one. When you are there the Jamaicans have a funny way of charging tourists full American prices on goods and services. So if you are traveling there don't look for any discounts because of money exchange. |

just be prepared for the shock when we went we stopped in a convienance store got a couple cold drinks and some chips went to the register and the girl says that will be $400.00 i was horrified until the other woman realized i had american money and it came to like $2.50 american. |
