You best bet is to check with your pediatrician. When ever you go to the tropics, make sure you and your child are caught up on your immunizations.

It is safe. as long as your baby has all his vaccination. I took my to vacation when he was almost 10 months. I took some Tylenol just in case. baby water, formula milk everything that the baby will be need. (also some insect repellent). Have a safe trip and enjoy yourself!!!

Since there is always a chance of hepatitis, malaria and Dengue fever in the tropics, as well as concerns about water safety, I guess I'd wait, at least until the child has had a chance to be vaccinated for hepatitis. That said, the Dominican Republic is relatively safe.

I personally wouldn't but I've seen a lot of people bring their kids to the resorts. Talk to your doctor. Update vaccinations. Water might be too much for the little fella. I question some of the food.
We go down every year and I've never brought my three year old daughter. Granted we don't stay at a resort which is probably a little more safe. When she's a bit older we'll bring her, but until I know she can handle the sun, questionable water and food, and the ever present threat of cannibals (kidding) she's staying with Grandma. ok matt

You should check with the infants doctor. Make sure the baby has a hepatitis shot, and a teatnus shot.

Just be precautious for the kid, speak first with the doc.
