Depends where you are going. For beaches and parks, that is ok. But bring in some good jeans or skirts to enter other places. |

Same way you would dress if you were in the States. Here in PR most girl of your age dress the same as you do. Just have in mind that this is a tropical island, by that I mean try to dress comfortable and fresh. Enjoy your visit. Have fun! |

shorts and tanks are fine...people are going to stare anyway!
P.S. Puerto Ricans do care about how they dress (going to the grocery store in plain jeans and tennis is outragouse here...everyone is always dressed nice) |

It doesn't really matter. People in Puerto Rico don't really care how you dress.
And most girls our age (14) dress with shorts, tank tops, t-shirts... Just like in the States. |

Don't worry. Puerto Ricans like people from the US. You can wear tank tops and short shorts. However, you may get a lot of looks. A lot of people that are in Puerto Rico they tend to be from the country. So many people who have not been out of the island think that all white people have money or many people from the US have money. But if you go to San Juan or to Palms del Mar you should be ok. Just dont stay out too late by urself at night in PR. |

Puerto Rico is a CommonWealth State of the United States. Just like Washington DC and California. So Don't worried we speak english and Spanish and we are americans. |

I say dress up everywhere u go (i dont mean like going out clubing dress up) but take pride in your appearance.. and thats how they dress here in the states they always look nice..they dress up even when going to the mall (in puerto rico). Even the guys dress up. i live in the states and i dress up just to go to store, or mall (i mean like stylish) and some people find that odd.. i dont. cuz im not waiting until the night/weekend to wear my stuff im gonna wear it now, too. |

Yes, that's okay. Jeans are okay too. And t-shirts and practically anything would be fine. Dress as if you were at home. |
