Come to Barbados, you would not regret it. We have some of the most friendliest people here. |

All of the islands are beautiful and have their own special flavor.
My top picks are:
Belize (fishing, friendliness, ruins)
St. Maarteen (food, beauty, nightlife)
Jamaica (food, culture, music)
Barbados (shopping, culture, friendliness)
No matter where you go, make sure you check out Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews to make sure you won't be surprised by the accommodations.

It depends on what your interests are and what you're looking for. I haven't been everywhere in the Caribbean, but here is my personal "best of" list for various categories.
Best Bargain:
Cozumel
You'll find some of the lowest prices in the Caribbean on accommodations, activities and meals. You can still spend a lot on a hotel room, but I shared a rental villa with a group of friends and it was quite reasonable. It's great for divers and snorkelers because it has one of the world's largest reefs (second only to Australia's Great Barrier Reef) and a two-tank boat dive is as little as $40.
Best Party Resort:
Hedonism II, Negril, Jamaica
I haven't been there, but I've known people who have and they said it was a blast
Best Scuba Diving:
Saba Marine Park
This is a protected marine life preserve and it shows. Everything is pristine and the variety of fish, sponges, corals, and other creatures is breathtaking.
Best Nude Beach:
Orient Beach, St. Martin
There may be a few informal ones, but this is the number one clothing-optional beach in the Caribbean, and probably the only official public one. The only other officially designated one I know of is the privately owned one at the Sorobon Beach Resort on Bonaire.
Least Likely to be hit by Hurricanes:
The ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao)
These islands near the coast of South America are so far south they're outside the hurricane belt.
Best Food:
The Hyatt Regency Aruba serves the best food I've ever tasted in the Caribbean, or at any restaurant. |

Depends on what you're looking for. Jamaica is a blast! Puerto Plata or Punta Cana,in the Dominican Republic are fantastic. The Cayman Islands are great also. Too many choices! Look for the things you are interested in. Good Luck & God Bless! |

Jamaica is amazing, the pinacle of the Caribbean! Lots of reggae, sunshine and amazing people. If you want lively and lots of tourism try negril/montego bay. More "Jamaican" is the quieter Runaway Bay which has got some great hotels and great access to the real Jamaica such as the Dunns River Falls, Browns Town, Nine Mile etc. |

I'm sure you've had plenty of responses but I'll put in a plug for our website about Grand Cayman.
We love Grand Cayman, it's safe and prosperous with none of the pestering that upsets visitors on other islands. |
