I agree with the other guy - if you are flying there from USA - then no passport is needed (but bring ID for boarding your flight - like a drivers license etc.). If you arrive there from another country then YES. It is like a US State, uses US currency, US post office etc.

jmsolo24
No you do not. PR's political status is very much like that of the 50 US states. PR natives are US citizens.

Raimon
NO. this question was already answered by me.

You do not need a passport, but should have 2 forms of ID..for flights. If you wish to visit any other Islands, you will need your passport...Puerto Rico is a US Commonwealth...But, if you are not a natural born American, it might be advisable to bring your passport..

Alias Smith & Jones
Nope - unless you're arriving in P.R. from another country, not the U.S.

Valkyrie
You don't need a Passport.

If you are traveling from another state, it is consider as a domestic flight, and the answer is no.

No...It's like visiting others states in the US. US dollar, US Postal Service...etc. Credit/Debit cards are accepted everywhere. Only warning is the driving...it's CRAZY!

i live in LA right now and i didnt need a passport to go to Puerto Rico, but last time i was at the airport they told me that next time i come i will need one because they might change the law.
