I'm going to Barbados in a week and was wondering why it always says its raining if you look online?

It's the tropics. Keep in mind that when they say 20/30% chance of rain showers, you have 70/80% chance of sun. If you get a shower, it will pass very quickly. Most likely it will rain at night. Think positive. April is a great time to be in the Caribbean.

Next week it will be in the mid 80's. Enjoy)

It rains from time to time in Barbados. Barbados has a rainy season. And a more rain-ier season... But overall it gets 3000 hours of sunshine a year. The rain in Barbados usually only last for like 15 mins at a time... 30 mins tops unless if it is really bad weather..... e.g. A tropical storm.

Check the weather on the Barbados newspaper. It is better.

U.S. based media has this practice where if they see any rain... Even if it is a few short minutes. They will claim the whole day was rain.

It RAINS hard in Barbados. I used to live there, and when I went back, I hadn't felt rain that hard in 10 years. The good thing is that it usually rains for a short period of time then stops.

It's still in the Caribbean by the ocean and there will be some showers, even though it is the 'dry season'.
The showers don't last long at all and it won't interfere with your vacation. It may rain for a few minutes, cool things off, and will stay hot.
I've vacationed in Barbados in March/April time and the rain doesn't last long. The winter season will be ending in a short while as well, so the weather will start changing.
Don't worry, you'll enjoy your trip through and through.

I have been to Barbados twice and it never rained.

The weather seems to be changing everywhere now...Pray for sunshine!

Ya rain in the Caribbean lasts about an hour not even. I was just in Barbados and they lost a lot of their beaches due to a storm that had waves at 18 feet high. Lots of the islands lost beaches after this storm.

it only rains for a short period of time. What you can do if you dont have an umbrella is find shelter until the rain stops.

depending on the day, it could rain a couple of time but only for a short time. relax and have fun

Exactly....as the many others said!!! the rain is short,quick and lovely!!! because it cools things down!!! I went twice in Feb and then again Jan! Not much rain, but when it did...it by far didn't ruin the amazing time I had there....I'm going back rain or shine ;)
But mostly shine....
