Depends on what part of Jamaica. If you are going to Negril, you should try to check out ricks cafe. I heard it is super exciting. I've been to Jamaica before but never to ricks cafe. I am going back may of this year and I will check our ricks cafe myself...Have fun

im going to jamaica in one week from today! :) have fun! Try going to Dunn River Falls that place is nice! Yeah MON jamaica :)

Sam
Duns River Falls is a beautiful place in Jamaica to visit and you can climb the waterfall. Its beautiful and a lot of fun.

Relax and enjoy yourself. Talk to the people. There are many other beautiful falls other than Dunn's River, find out about them. Make sure you try our national dish - ackee and saltfish, our native fruits, our jerked chicken and pork, roasted breadfruit and more.

go to

Hi Sems.. well i think the first thing you should do is contact me for any info you may desire or services you may need..lol..

Honestly though, Jamaica has alot to offer and it depends on what you want to do..and it also depends on what part of JAmaica you are gonna be staying..anyway let me give you a few pointers..

WATERFALLS
1. Dunns River Falls - Over 600 ft and is the most beautiful and popular water falls in the entire caribbean. (Cost Approx. US$15 per person)
2. Mayfield Falls - This is in a more serene environment, surrounded by nature and is located in a rural community. Here you can see and meet the REAL Jamaicans and what the deep rural JAmaica is like. (Cost Approx. US$10 per person)
3. Sommerset Falls - This is located in the eastern part of Jamaica, but i think it is a bit "over-rated". There is really not much to do there, but the little boat ride to see the falls is OK I guess. (Cost Approx US$10 per person)
4. YS Falls - This is absolutely wonderful, alos located in a rural environment. The property is well kept and provides varying things to do such as swim at the natural river pool, climb the falls, Rope Jump, Zip Line/Canopy Tour. To get on the property you will be taken on a Jitney Tractor ride. (Cost Approx. US$10 per person).
5. Nanny Falls - This falls is located deep into rural Portland, there is no cost to go there, but you will have to do alot of walking to get there though..This i would say is more for adventure seekers.
6. REACH FALLS - This is also a wonderful place to visit, located in deep rural Portland. (Cost Approx. US$10 per person)

BLUE MOUNTAINS - This would definitely be a fulfilling experience. The peak is approx 7402 feet above sea level and is the highest point in the Caribbean. The sun also rises directly above the peak so this is wonderful to see too.

IRISH TOWN - This area has some of Jamaica's most interesting places, that provides us with a deep history of our past. Some places are;
1. Strawberry Hill Hotel - This Hotel is probably the most tranquil and provides the most picturesque view in Jamaica. The Hotel is an upscale property with a rustic feel. Bob Marley also recuperated here when he got shot in the late 70's.
2. Craighton Coffee Estate - This Greathouse and estate is also a Coffee Plantation and Factory. The Greathouse was used by English Governors, Army Generals pre and post Independence.
3. Newcastle Historic Military Base - This English Military base was built in the 19th century to fend off attacks which were made by the Maroons on the British.
Hollywell National Park - This Park is a hikers haven.

BLACK RIVER SAFARI BOAT TOUR - This tour will take you to the largest wetland area in Jamaica. 1hr and 30 min boat ride down river to see crocodiles, birds, plant life etc.
BOB MARLEY MUSEM - Located in Kingston, this is where the late Reggae legend lived during his latter years. The property is now a museum.
BOB MARLEY MAUSOLEUM - Located in deep rural St. Ann, this is where Bob Marley was born and now buried.

DOLPHINS COVE - Here you can see and play with dolphins, sharks and sting rays. There is also a mini Jungle Trail Tour.

MYSTIC MOUNTAIN - This is definitely for adventure seekers. Make sure you dont have heart problem, because the rides are simply breathe-taking. The property is one of Jamaica's newest and offers very good services.

There are alot more to see but please feel free to contact me for any added info you may desire or if you want to use my services for transportation, tour etc.

Wow, there are some great answers here already but I'll add:

Take in the culture for a day or so, eat, drink, chat it up and dance with the locals. Keep an open mind and you will have a blast!
