Hi Dottie!,
In October, the weather is very good, with sometimes a little rain for 10 to 15 min and then sun again, so nothing to spoil your vacations!
Happy to help you

Hot and most likely humid like almost all year around. Nice refreshing breeze all the time tho.

I tell you ,last year we went on Oct. for 2 weeks and it was wonderful ,it only rained once for about 1 hr and the day we left we hit a storm in the airport , that we could not see the plane which was sitting in front of us . 2 hrs delay .
but it is beautyful just enjoy

October is rainy season, and still falls into the Hurricane Season. Sorry, but expect unpredictable weather (really sunny mornings and heavy rainfall as soon as you get your suntan lotion on - then right after lunch the sun will be back up like nothing ever happened). There's also possibility you'll face hurricane or tropical storm alerts, since August, September and October are the most active months.

But cheer up, because this is not always the case. Chances are you will see good days, and I can guarantee the heat and the beach will be still be there. I recommend you keep a regular watch on the weather alert 1 months before your trip, just so you can get a good idea of what you'll be dealing with.

Welcome to life in the Tropics.
