I WON A CRUISE TO BAHAMAS IS IT A SCAM OR IS IT FOR REAL?

Hey guys
I am from Columbus, OH and a month ago i signed up to win a trip to bahamas. today i got a voice mail from a guy saying that me and my boyfriend won the trip and it is totally free. It is a three night cruise to bahamas on the Royal Caribean Cruise line. Oh and he said he works for Sunshine vacations. Before i return the call i would like to make a little research on this, and i would appreciate a lot if i get a feedback from anyone who happened to get the same call, or went to the trip ( if it's for real). thanks,

p.s sorry if i didn't express myself correctly, english is my second language and im still learning it :)

It's not a scam - as in they are not going to steal money from you and not perform a service or deliver a product. They will give you this trip but you will have to listen to an all day seminar where they try to sell you a timeshare or some other ridiculous property. Many times they will "attach" the trip to you buying what they hock. You need to find that out first. I have a friend that got a free 42" TV after going to a 3 hour insurance seminar. You might get the trip no strings attached, but talk to the guy first. Don't forget, you can always hang up and since they are not telemarketers, they won't call back. Good luck.

SCAM..
Almost always what will happen is that they will have you all excited to go, and then tell you that the "free" cabin type is not available any of the days you want, so they will sell you an upgrade which you could have bought from Royal to begin with.

Also remember that they are not paying for you to get to Port Canaveral, Florida, you would have to pay for that on your own.

Bottom line is this; Don't Call Them...SCAM!!!

P.S. Your English is better than most:)

You people are so interested in getting something for nothing, you fail to read the fine print enough to know THIS IS A SCAM... it goes on all the time... Your "FREE" cruise will end up COSTING YOU MORE than if you just BOOKED IT THROUGH AN AGENCY.

Call your local office of the Better Business Bureau. They tell us at the Senior Center to always call there first because the BBB keeps lists of scams and scammers.

First check out "Cruise Scams" on the Internet. Second, look for Sunshine Vacations also on the Internet. Then call Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, by using the 800 number at their web site, in order to get more detailed information.
Sometimes, people use these means to get personal information.

Please make these checks before you begin your dance of joy.

It's a scam.. RUN, Fast.. RUN...

Don't even pick up the phone.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Easiest way to find out is to call them and if they ask you for a credit card or some form of payment for the "taxes", don't give it to them. The other way I have seen this type of scam is, everything is included except the round trip airfare from your city to the port. Then they will tell you that you have to use their air to make the deal...at a ridiculously high price!
Sunshine Vacations is a real company that apparently sells timeshares or something similar based in Dublin, OH.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
