I have been to Ochos Rios, but not Montego Bay. The sights are awesome there and the locals,very friendly to all of the tourists.
But be warned, they DO know you are a tourist and the street vendors are very aggresive! You can really haggle with them if you try.
A better deal is always around the corner and you should say so, (whether it's true or not) to get them to deal with you!!
I hope you enjoy your trip!!
P.S. Natalee Holliway did NOT disappear in Jamaica!! I never felt unsafe there for 1 minute! |

Montego is more touristy than Ochio Rios, but they are basicall the same. Ochio Rios has Dunns River Falls (which is great) but Montego has nicer beaches.
Jamaica is no more unsafe than anywhere else. Natalee Halloway DID not dissapear in Jamaica. And people disappear everyday, in every country.
U will have a great time. Jamaicans LOVE tourist and is always willing to show u a good time.

I have been to both Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. I enjoyed both locations. Montego Bay is a larger 'city'. There is a lot of shopping and beaches to visit during the day and there is a large amount of nightclubs in the area. Ocho Rios has beautiful beaches too and there's always Dunns River Falls.
When I go again, I will visit Montego Bay again.

Wow, your feeling risky, huh? Jamaica, in general, is known for being unsafe, so it really doesn't matter what city you go to. Make sure you have a a last will and testament before you go. I guess I don't understand the desire to risk your life for "day fun and night life excitement", but I guess Natalee Hollaway felt the same desire. |
