A lot of other caribbean islanders do not like the trinis, don't know why.
Trinis are very proud people, and we don't take cr*p from anyone, so that might be it , and most of the time people are just jealous.
Anyway, why are you drinking beer? You're 15 yrs old, stay off the beers and concentrate on your school work..

This is typically not true. I have many Guyanese friends and we get along fine. They even visited Trinidad with me and I went to Guyana.

I'm telling you it is not so much that people hate us it is how we act when we visit the other island countries that makes us look bad. Some of us, not all, tend to excite and treat the local indifferent and those actions are looked upon as a Trini t'ing.

Just ask them why they feel the way they feel about Trini's..

alot of people dont get along with trini's and its becuz of our dazzling personalities :o). We really all about being happy and having a good time, and we dont have time for the bs. So people think we stuck up and ting but hey as long as we have each other we dont care who likes us or not.

i ask myself de same question and here's my reasoning. everybody in the islands feel like dey country is the best, so when u have 2 ppl feeling that way u going to run into problems.

well... i don't have any guyaness friend but there was a gual who was here a long while dat had somethin for trinis she said dat she was a 'trini killer 4 life' and guyanese ppl will always talke we man...and all d crap....but we jus didn't take her one..

judging from d other answers i would say some guyanese ppl are really nice ...

Firstly - yuh 15 and drinking Carib, boy doh leh meh call yuh mother!

Secondly - I have guyanese friends and they don't have no qualms about Trinis. Some other countries are very bias when it comes to Trinidad - no love lost!

I don't know what the problem is nuh. One of my dearest friends is Guyanese and we get along famously. Like I said in one of my past answers I don't see a thing wrong with thinking your country and your people are the absolute best on the earth, bar none. As long as you are open minded enough to make room in your world for other people, it shouldn't be an issue.

I got friends from Guyana. Never had any problems.
Guess in any country you'll find the few that doh get along with some from other countries.

It's because Trini's think that they and their Island are the best in the Caribbean.

But of course, everyone knows that the Jewels of the Caribbean are really Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Vincy Women are the best in the world, Vincy Food is the Hottest and tastiest, and Vincy men are the most Handsome.
