You will not have a problem so long as:
1) your passport is valid.
2) You are not coming here to work (and more importantly....don't say that to the immigrations officers).
3) The matter of your 'criminal charge' is not currently before the courts.
4)There is no 'stop order' issued by the courts preventing you from travelling.
5) You either have a jamaican visitors visa (if required based on your nationality) or you are coming from a country where there is no visa requirement for travel to jamaica. |

I've never been to Jamaica and I don't know anything about their security arrangements. But my advice to anybody with criminal convictions is not to disclose them voluntarily. Where I live, 1 person in 5 has some sort of criminal record. If you're going as a tourist, they want your money, and they're not going to turn you away unless you're a serious security risk. And it's not that easy for immigration to check the records of every visitor. It would cost them a fortune. |

Not if your passport is valid...now, when you come back home you may get arrested if there is a warrant out for you. But just having a record doesn't make it illegal to travel (unless you are on probation or parole) |

It depends on where you are flying from, what the criminal record is for, and honestly how good a mood the customs agent is.
1. I have a minor criminal record from about 10 years ago (a few bad checks and a DUI)
2. I am American with a passport so it's a lot quicker
3. If you have been deported from Jamaica and not a Jamaican I would look for alternate routes. |

I don't think so, unless your criminal record involves drug trafficking, illegal immigration, terrorism or things along those lines. My record has some minor infractions, but I don't think anything comes up when they swipe my passport, and I visit Jamaica several times a year. Again, it depends on what your record consists of. If it was that bad, your either would have never been given a Passport in the first place (or a renewal) or your home country would confiscate it I presume. |
