I've included a link to a list for what to pack for the cruise.
But in general, you won't want to forget anything you usually use, swimming suit, regular clothes, formal clothes, maybe some books or a laptop, etc. Anything like shampoos, curling irons, hair dryers, etc. are a good idea to bring as well. I prefer my own products to what is provided on the ship.
Money is very important. Don't forget to bring money for tips at the end if you haven't pre-paid. Some small bills for room-service are also a good idea. Also, a credit card for on-board purchases with your room-key. Travelers checks may also be something to consider.
Don't forget your travel documents, including cruise paperwork, air tickets, reservation information, I.D, birth-certificate, etc. Also, have any contact information you may need, i.e. travel agent number, town car company, cruise line, hotel, airline, etc.
Don't forget your camera, and some extra memory. There will be lots of pictures you will want to take, so you definitely don't want to forget it.
Some medicine for sea sickness is also a smart idea, especially for a first cruise. You really can't predict what the water will be like, but it is better to be safe than sorry. I personally like it when the waves are high (I know, I'm crazy) but you don't want to ruin your cruise.
These are just a few things. I think the link will help you quite a bit.
Try to pack as little as possible. Cruise ship staterooms can be small, depending on what you have. They can close in on you pretty quick, especially if you don't have a balcony or porthole window to bring some light into the room and open it up a little. There isn't much room, so if you have a few people in your room, you don't want to take up a lot of space with luggage.
Hope this helps!
And most importantly, have a great cruise! Cruising is wonderful, you will have a great time! |
