This particular property I have never booked before so I have no feedback concerning it.

Mostly what I wanted to post about is Punta Cana is a "beach destination" only. There is no town here to where you are going to find restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc around. Of course you can purchase items from the resort and there are sometimes some people walking on the beach selling items.

All the properties in Punta Cana are All Inclusive for this reason of no outside options.

I would recommend an agent who has been to Punta Cana (I haven't yet) that can give you further information on the hotel. Please though, don't call an agent get information and book on your own just to maybe avoid a $20.00 service fee (fee varies). I don't know how many people they book online, then they suddenly have "questions", but don't want to either search online and hope to get the right info or to call the online provider you booked travel through and wait for the next available agent.

A travel specialist can give you a personal touch (based on if they are a good agent) to ensure all they can to make sure you don't encounter problems. Problems can still happen sure, but at least then in the event they do you have someone to contact directly. Even if the agent is out that day, other agents in the office can pull there files and assist you.

Have a great trip though none the less! Make sure you have a passport as well as one that is good for 6 months beyond your travel return date (if you have had your passport for a while that is). Also best to book in advance for best prices which are based off availability. A lot of times, depending on dates/destination/time of booking agents might have a promo code that can save some money off your trip.

Why not do your own research? Google will provide many answers. Try your local travel agent for booklets. Dominican republic Tourism Bureau? etc.

Please! Don't book an AI resort! They are destroying the island as well as the livliehoods of many families. They have poor working conditions, put local businesses into bankruptcy, and they lie to the clients and tell them the island is dangerous, just so they can sell their over-priced tours.

Then they take the profits that they make by exploiting the poor people of the island, use some of it to bribe corrupt politicians, and send the rest back out of the country so that all of those poor people that you see on the streets get even poorer and poorer.

There are plenty of nice hotels to choose from that are not AI, and that don't put all of these hard-working people out of jobs!

(besides most of them serve really cruddy booze which is blended with ethanol and not even really distilled!)
