birth cert and photo id until the end of this year, they will want to know the purpose of your travel, for how long, and where are your reservations, sometimes if you are young they on occasions ask about your finances, laudry just about every hotel......tip as you feel, they work hard there and aim to please and do not make much of a salary, so let your conscience be your guide, taxi to the airport 17 dollars, i have been to the rennaisance, good place for the ladies to shop.. i will be there the first week in november, let your hair down have a ball. feel free to contact me, i have been there several times

I am going to Aruba next week on a cruise. We were told by the cruise line , whio should know, that a birth certificate id fine until 12-31-06.

I hear renting a 4 wheeler and exploring the coutryside is a balst.

I went to Aruba on a girls trip two years ago. We went to the Soul Musicfest and had a blast. One thing you should know is that the taxis are not metered- its a flat rate to the highrise and lowrise hotels. Establish the rate BEFORE you get in the taxi. If you can, split it with other people. One girlfriend and I went out, got a taxi back, and the flat rate was $20- but not per person. So we grabbed to random people who were also going to the highrise hotels and spilt it $5/each. The Rennaisance, if memory serves, is right downtown, which is great, because once you get outside of town, it can be pretty quiet. The Hotel should have a shuttle, and its really not that far from the airport. We actually walked from Downtown to about the airport one night because the afterparties for the concert were located near there.

If you want to sightsee, you should rent an ATV and go up and down the rugged coast near the California Lighthouse. Also, there is a Carlos and Charlies in Aruba, which is always a good time. If you are not doing all inclusive, don't despair- they have everything from KFC to Little Ceasers Pizza there. Leaving Downtown and heading towards the hotels there is a little grocery store, if you want to keep some snacks in your room.

My last piece of advise is this: I try to get adventurous on every vacation. This vacation I opted to parasail. I had never done it before. A word of caution: Aruba is NOT the place to try it. This is because Aruba has a constant tradewind. Constant. Imagine being bopped around 400 feet in the air on a kite in a tradewind so constant the the divi divi trees are all pointing in the same direction!

Enjoy your vacation!

Help look for the missing American girl, Natalee Holloway.
You might want to look at the link provided, she isn't the only missing female tourist. Enjoy your trip.

By the way the advise of January 08 is wrong you can return home with your BC /id but you can't enter someonelse country with a passport
I live in ST Barth my flight always stop in ST Maarten (duch country) you need a passport to enter as of July 2005
many people are concentrating on getting back to the US well the
