Hi !, yes the food and water are safe in the Dominican. Just don't drink water from the tab, and the first days of your stay, don't drink to cold (ice cuces) your sistem is not used to it!.
Enjoy your stay !

HI !,
Yes the water and the served meals are safe here in the Dominican Republic. I suggest not to drink water from the tab and the first days after your arrival, no to drink to cold; you're
sistem is not used ti it. For the rest you have to do just one thing Enjoy it!, and discover this country - have a nice time!

The foods safe but it's very different. Don't trust the water.. I did and ended up with a virus which im still sick from -_-.. Bottled is fine but close your mouth wen you take showers.. You'll see from the airport to your resort, water cannot be trusted

The water at the resorts is always bottled water and the food as safe as at any AI in the Caribbean.

YES.. the water at resorts is always bottled water, but if you are not in a resort and the salad bar looks delicious... just remember they probably washed the veggies in TAP water.

Also, if you are outside the resort, you can just do like seasoned travelers do.. DRINK THE LOCAL BEER... most beers in the Caribbean are very mild, but there is enough alcohol in the beer to kill anything that may be swimming in the water, so bottle beer is ALWAYS SAFE... in the caribbean or anywhere in the world.

i stayed at a resort there, in Punta Cana, and didn't have any problems. We for the most part stayed at the resort, but traveled out for dinner one night and didn't have any problems. Enjoy your trip, its a killer place!

Please get bottled water, resorts provide bottled water FREE!
Before taking a trip remember to take a bottle with you.
Food is safe as long as you you eat at the resort,

I never had a problem and I have been there many times. You only want to drink bottle water though even use to brush your teeth. Have fun!

The food is very good but for some reason even the bottle water made me sick over there, now I take a Brita filter when ever I go.

Yes, the food and the water is safe at the resorts. There will be no problem as long as you do not drink tap water...not even dominicans do that because it is contaminated and it would get you sick, but other than that you shouldnt have any problems.

I have been there twice, once just my husband and I and another time with the 3 kids. We stayed at all inclusive resorts both times. DO NOT drink the tap water under any circumstances but the water they serve from pitchers at the restaurants is safe, it has been purified. In your rooms bottled only though. The food was great, we never got sick, neither did the kids. Off the resort, again do not drink anything but bottled water and eating should be ok, we did twice and again never got sick. Have a wonderful vacation, it is a beautiful place!

.
yeah ,they r. the only problem would b is if u eat outside the resort.
