Yes a passport is perfectly fine as long as it's not expired.

The passport is a federal goverment official ID document, mostly used for traveling. Definitely it is better than a local state driving license. Sure you can use the passport (if not expired).

Boriquen
That is just fine and will get you into the island, your state drivers lisence will do as well.

A Valid Passport is the perfect ID

RedSoxfan1982
You need your passport to fly into PR or sea travel into PR anways. I know we did when we went there for our cruise. We had to fly there for our cruise and then when the cruise was over and we got off in PR they asked us for our passports. We had to have them to get back into the US.

Passport Ok.

Mike
You don't need a passport to go to P.R., but the airlines will accept one as a valid picture ID. to board the plane.

Joelou
To enter back to the United States they will ask you to show your passport. That is the only way to enter the country.
