dude,, i tan, i am far from homo, i have a girlfriend of 4 months now, we tan together, well i used too, i had to stop because of the signs of skin cancer,, and its extrememly common in my family.. but naw man,, its not gay to go tanning. YOU KNOW HOW MANY SMOKIN HOT CHICKS ARE AT A TANNING SALON!!!!? it crazy! its really relaxing, i always fall asleep, and it really improves your complexion and muscle tone. if someone calls you gay for tanning, ignore it,, its almost like some people thinking male cheerleaders are gay,,, this dude in college was a cheerleader, he was dating the hottest chick in the whole school, and could fight like crazy!

nope. it is not to good for your skin to go to a tanning bed but if you go to the beach you will get a nice tan if you don't get all red first.

I don't think it's weird for a guy to tan, however, I do think that people should reconsider tanning. Exposure to UV rays is harmful, and you can't undo exposure to the sun's radiation or that of a tanning bed.

Go to the beach without a tan, make sure to wear sufficient sunblock wherever your skin is exposed, and enjoy yourself just as you are.

No, I've seen several guys go to tanning salons.

Don't worry about it anyway - who cares what anyone thinks when you walk in to the salon? If you get a good base tan now, you will lower your chances of getting a painful burn that will ruin your vacation. (Notice I said "lower your chances" - you CAN still burn with a base tan so be careful)

It is if you actually lay out on a towl and oil yourself up with tanning oil. But if you get a tan by just bein out in the sun, playing frisbee, body surfing, then no ..... it is not wierd.

BTW: Tanning is the body's way of telling you that you've had too much sun.

hey trust me man tanning is not a bad thing...im a guy and i always tan it is a very good thing it increases your sex appeal... you look better and with a tan since your body is darker all its creases look bigger so it appears that you are a lot more built... so dont worry about tanning if someone tells you that ur weird for tanning tell them that atleast you dont look like a walking popsicle...and besides that tanning is in the ladies go more into a guy that looks tanner

Not at all, tan away! I'd rather see a guy take care of his complexion rather than a guy who insists on staying pasty white. Most girls actually think that a golden-brown hue is kinda attractive. Go catch yourself some rays, dude!

mate, men do everything in the 21stC! if your in britain though people won't stop going on about it and make you feel like freak. so my advise is get it done just before you go so that when you get back you can tell ppl its natural and they can't complain against that. if your not worried about what ppl say then tell everone you know what you've done and why. you'll get respect and people follow you 2 but like I said you'll also get ppl bugging you and making you feal like a weirdo though they dont mean to. it just human nature to this its all a weird subject in itself.

forgot to add safty as well. UV light is harmful so consider fake tan or just getting it done very lightly.

on a final point, i don't want to rub it in, but i've just gota say hahaha!- i'm naturally tanned from birth and don't need to get it done artificialy!! sorry ;-)

It's nowhere near wierd for a guy to go tanning. I was pale myself and I am tanning, you might need only 2 weeks of it, so don't waste money. And also, make sure you use MOISTURIZING lotion, or else you will burn. So hey man, go get that tan!!!

Everybody looks better with a tan. My husband (6 ft 6, 250 lbs) uses the tanning bed proudly.

If you are worried about the negative health effects of tanning beds, try spray on tan. However, DO NOT try to use any of the creams, lotions or sprays at home. Go to a salon that does spray tanning. I have been a couple of times and there are always guys in the waiting room.
