It rains a lot in Puerto Plata, making it tropical green with beautiful flowers everywhere but the sun shines enough that you will be able to get a tan. It is usually sunny in the morning and very hot and humid so you will welcome the rain in the late afternoon to cool your sunburn. |

you will def get a tan dont worry, when i was there it was cloudy and had been raining we got out the sea and i feel asleep with out putting more cream on and was really burnt and i am naturally quite tanned so be careful use plenty of cream. |

It is always great weather for tanning in the Dominican Republic, even when there are clouds. I've been there many times and I've always been able to get some sun. Enjoy! |
