Yes. While in San Juan you definitely need to visit 'El Morro' a 500+ yr old spanish war fort overlooking the ocean. Its spectacular & definitely a must see! You can see 'La Puerta de San Juan' (the san juan gate) & 'La paseo de princesa' a beautiful walkway & visit the Casa Blanca. Also visit the San Juan Cathedral & San José Church. & walk the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan. The colorful spanish architecture is a delight & you can shop all the boutiqes & artisan shops & stop to get a bite to eat of real delicious puertorican food. & of course there are beaches & every water sport imaginable. Lots of nightlife in San Juan & casinos too. There are walking tours you can take around San Juan & you will see everything I mentioned & there are also taxi's & public transit. You can also go to the Bacardi Factory. You can take a tour bus or just take the ferry over, its cheaper.
Also if you have time, see a few things outside of San Juan also. 'El Yunque' rain forest is beautiful. A real tropical rain forest located on a mountain top. You might catch a glimpse of the endangered puerto rican parrot & the famous coqui frog. Also you can walk down to 'La Mina' waterfalls & swim in the refreshing water. Its a cool experience. The reain forest is in Fajardo which is 45 mins from San Juan. If you drive it is free to get in. Otherwise you can pay & take a bus tour. Look for a tour that will take you to the Bioluminescent Bay afterwards. It will cost more, but this is a must see. The water glows in the dark when u touch it & it is amazing. Take a kayak out. There is 1 right in Fajardo that they call the bioluminescent lagoon & 1 on Vieques island that they call the biobay or Mosquito bay but this requires a ferry ride. They are both equally as nice.
Also you can take a bus tour to Rio Camuy Caves the 3rd largest cave system in the world. A tram takes you deep underground to explore. & on the same tour visit Arecibo Observatory. This has the biggest radio telescope in the world. It was in movies like Contact & James Bond Goldeneye. Whatever you decide, have fun! ENJOY PR! Its beautiful. Check out the links below. |

Take a trolley tour through Old San Juan, you can go to San Cristóbal fort and the Morro. (trolleys are free) and later walk around Old San Juan and get some shopping time in, youll find great outlets.
At night and there is always some type of festival or show going on. Enjoy a nice plate of criollo food (typical puerto rican food) .
And if you can get over to the Rio Grande/Luquillo area you muts visit the Caribbean's national rainforest : El Yunque - it is absolutely breathtaking climbing up to the mt britton tower.
I am sure you will find plenty to do here in Puerto Rico |

El morro , Old San Juan
Just go to everywhere in Old San Juan (maybe bring a kite)
stay at the marriot
walk a little in to the city at night and there is always some kind of music playing
definetly go into the ocean
go to a night club or watch a performance (u get to dance w/ pros)
have traditional black beans and rice there (best ever)
the shopping in san juan is amazing even for guys
ask about birds in san juan and you will get pointed to this little garden where there are tons of birds thatll just run all over you and your arms
and the Caribbean's national rainforest : El Yunque - aka my favorite place on earth
take a tour or go by yourself (book early)
there is only one restaurant on the whole mountain and its amazing
also in El Yunque: see the Man on the mountain
the mountain is shaped like a man's profile
it doesnt take the artistic eye to notice it either
It looked just like my dad
go to the observation tower to see this
in the observation tower- buy fried plantains
also go to the camuy caverns
so beautiful
biggest stalactite in the world
:)
:O
hope i helped |

In the city of San Juan, you can go to San Cristóbal fort and later walk around Old San Juan and El Condado. Also, close to San Juan in Hato Rey is Plaza las Americas, the largest shopping mall in the Caribbean and one of the largest in southeastern United States. Browse the links below for more information. |
