I am from the Virgin Islands and now living in Japan. I wish I could take your plane ticket for you. LOL You will love the place in Novemeber. It will be quiet enough to enjoy tons of activites. A must visit is the Green House in downtown St. Thomas. Happy Hour is a must! You gotta hit the Mt. Top for the famous banana dacquires. St. John is so amazing to take a tour on. All the beaches are a must see. Even if you only get your toes wet. You can also enjoy tons of water activites if you are into that.
I don't know how long you are going to stay, but I would suggest setting up some tours before you head out there. You may find great deal before you go. The shopping in St. Thomas is good for diamonds and gold if you head to the Main Street. (It has a real name, but if I tell you, no one might really know what you are talking about ) :)
Just ask for local food. You will enjoy it all. You can ask about anyone there and they will point you in the right direction to the favorite spots. People are really friendly there. Take your walking shoes for the day time and your party shoes for the night. You will wear them out!
HAVE FUN and when you pass over Skyline Dr., and you will, just give a big wave for me. |

you will love it. st thomas is great. the cabs are pricy. dont get cheated. make sure you know where it is going and how much. my parents were cheated out of $40 by a cab driver. trunk bay is haven on earth, go there and spend as much time as you can. the lifeguards are there are they are good. the water is great and full of life. even if you dont like to swim, the beach is enough to dream of. go and have fun. |

You'll love it! It's quiet, very relaxing, not far from many things and a view - as they say - to die for!
I know you're not asking for advice but I'm going to say just one thing; I'm not a "night-life" kind of person myself but regardless of where you go after dark take a taxi recommended by the hotel. Most drivers will give you their business cards with a phone number - use it!!
I lived on the Carib for 7 years on my sailboat, mostly in Flamingo Bay, Water Island, but I sailed all over from the DR to Panama. I recommend that to everyone - at least once! lol!!
Enjoy! |

A website to check out is TripAdvisor.com. Type in the name of the resort in the search area and lots of reviews will be available. Also, check out the forums section. You can ask questions and receive answers there. Very helpful!! Have a great trip! |

Sapphire Village is very nice. The beach is my favorite to go to because it faces the other islands to the east like St. John, Jost Van Dyke and Tortola,BVI. The ferry to St. John is not too far away which is only $10 round trip. In order to travel to Tortola or Jost Van Dyke, BVI, it will cost more because its a different country (British). If you do plan to, carry your passport and it is about $50 round trip from St. Thomas to Tortola. The dock is located in Red Hook. Red Hook is a small community that has practically everything you need. I am sure you will enjoy your stay in Sapphire. It is serene and offers a spectacular view. |

Yes. Have fun. Visit St. John and St. Croix. Should be a cheap ferry and cheap Sea Plane ride respectively.
Eat at the hotels. They have some really nice food. I used to deliver food to their kitchens. But in St. John, there is (was?) a mom-and-pop restaurant near the ferry that's a must-visit.
In St. John, you must visit what is probably the world's smallest airport--maybe a tad bigger than a basketball court. I exaggerate a bit.
Also, close your eyes when landing in St. Thomas. The runway ends at the bottom of a cliff. Technically, there's a road and a gas station that you'ld have to plow through before the plane would smack into the cliff. :-)
Have fun. Wish it was me. |
