you say that you are a resident. I'm assuming that means you are not a citizen. You'd have to check the relationship and agreements between the country you hold a passport for and Jamaica.

If your going for a vacation you just need a passport .

No just a passport

"Tomaltch" is the only answerer that got it right! you need a PASSPORT from the country you hold citizenship in, then whether or not you need a VISA to visit Jamaica depends on the agreements between that country and Jamaica. You can go to the website listed below for visa information and to download a visa application form. It also has information on contacting the Jamaican Embassy with questions.

No you do not if you are a US citizen. You only need your passport.I am a US citizen and I have been travelling there on vacation and that is always what they ask me for.A visa only applies to those staying more than 30 days.

Dee only thing you need to go to Jamaica is a bag full of munchies, some love, and the ability to think of cool descriptions for the waves that dance below the sunsets horizon man !

Resident of the United States don't need a visa to enter Jamaica on a visit, but you must be a legal resident, Green Card holder.

No, a US Passport now--up until 1 Jan. '07 you did not even need a passport. It has hurt Jamaica's tourist biznes this year so far this passport thing.

I dunno

Jewel
Yes you do unless you are only going for a holiday, this applies to most countries, you will need a passport. Most countries will allow you in if you are only visiting on holiday; if you are planning to work that is another procedure. Speak to the Embassy of the country you are intending to visit.
