My mother gave my boyfriend and I $600 for Christmas to spend towards a vacation . We want to go early Feb. possibly over Valentines Day but are lacking in the ideas department. We are each willing to put forth some $$ of our own to ensure we have a good time but for the life of us cant figure out where to go. We def. want to go to some Carribean destination (we live in FL), are in our 20's, and just really really want to have a great time together... HELP!! I need ideas bc we need to book it soon!! Try the Bay Islands off the carribbean coast of Honduras....you can get cheap flights round trip to la ceiba from Miami in Honduras for bout $300, then you take a ferry to either Roatan or Utila....Utila is definately way cheaper and has a younger tourist crowd known more of a backpacker pit stop. You can just show up and rent an apt for $200/ a month or get a room for bout $15-20 a day. It's also a cool place to get certified for scuba diving, bout $200 with room. Hope this helps. |

Since you live in Florida, I would suggest the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic. You live close to these island and with a couple hundred dollars each more, you can have a nice vacation. Dominican Republic would be the most economical. Check out the Punta Cana area for an all-inclusive resorts. (includes food and liquor)

$600 is not a lot of money. That might get you airfare. The only thing I can think of would be camping on St. John USVI. There is a great campground there on a beautiful beach. You would have to fly into St. Thomas, then ferry over to John and rent a car. Good luck! |
