the suction that takes place when you pull the air in is what pulls the smoke up - the water just acts as a filter.

well for a homemade one you can just cut a hole in a water bottle and stick a bowl in it then fill it with water :)

From the spelling, you are probably WAY too young to take either tobacco OR marijuana... Never use either until you are at least 18 because things that are relatively harmless for adults over 18 (or in some cases 21-25)... can really harm the developing brain and body of a human being. Just stay away from it.

You're supposed to suck the smoke up through the bong. I' don't recommend using tobacco in a bong though, it's nasty.

Making a homemade bong isn't so complicated, so long as you have a pipe that has a load-able bowl. You can use something as common as an empty mouthwash bottle. Use a heated knife (pocket knife and a lighter) to cut a hole about two inches from the bottom of the bottle, then shove the pipe through the hole, with the bowl on the outside (of course). Use some duct tape to keep the pipe in place and seal the hole so the smoke stays in the bottle. Simple. You can also ad a carb in the back, about an inch from the top of the bottle. Just cut another small hole with a heated knife.

If you've never used a bong (which I'm suspecting) you'll want to load the bowl and hold the bong with the pipe away from you, then light the weed and suck through the opening in the top of the bottle. Remember to cover the carb if you put one in, and when the bottle fills with smoke, remove your finger and suck really hard so you get as much as possible.

damn easy son take a empty water bottle ratchet head (attachment things) empty bic pen or similar (take out butt and inktube and tip) and tape. tape the ratchet head onto pen, u got ur bowl and downstem right there, take yo bottle (heres the hard part) and a lighter and slowly melt a hole into the bottle SMALLER THEN PEN and when plastics still soft force the pen thru, test if its airtight (if its not restart) and pack yo bowl and enjoi, for clean hits make a carpol (tiny hole) put ur fonger over it thwne lighting and when ur about to be done remove finger and clear out chamber tada clean mofo hit.

the stem from the bowl goes directly into the water and is submerged. having two points of air release helps the smoke stay in the bong until the second air point is uncovered.
