I don't see the problem as long as both of you agree on the move. She can always learn English and if she is Puertorrican, she is just scare to talk. We learn English in school.

California is full of Latin People and you have family in California.

I move from Puerto Rico to Virginia, some what similar situation, but my wife just needed a push to start using English

As long as your fiance is open to taking ESOL classes for adults so he can better his quality of life and his prospects for employment, I say go for it. It will take him a couple of years before he feels comfortable with the English, but he needs to study and USE it. Pa' lante! Las cosas estan mejor que en PR!

If your fiancee is a Spanish speaker, he would be right at home in Miami. Of course, California is crawling with Mexicans, too; it just might work.

If she is willing to learn English there should be no problem, plus in California there a lot Spanish speakers.

It would be hard to get a good job without speaking English. At least one that pays well. Rent is high here, but maybe you could try it for 6 months and see how it turns out. You could always move back. California is a great place to live.

my husband and I are moving to the USA. he doesnt know English to well but he is willing to learn. go for it!

I would stay put where your roots are. California is a horrible place. Super high crime rates, full of liberals and their sick rules, its litterally hell on earth.
